Description

Datacom Category 8 cable exceeds the transmission performance requirements of IEC 61156-5 up to 2000 MHz. Category 8 cabling has a greater throughput capability; it can support the transmission of data up to 40Gbps over balanced twisted pair copper cabling. Datacom Cat 8 S/FTP cable shall have a nominal diameter of 8.4 mm. The cable shall be offered with a cable jacket meeting IEC 60332-1-2 flame rating (LSZH) The cable shall be constructed of 23-gauge copper conductors. The cable shall incorporate Mylar™/aluminum foil shields around each pair, with an overall braid. The system shall be classified as Cat 8 S/FTP construction. The Cat 8 system shall be third-party verified to meet ISO/IEC 11801 Class I performance requirements.
